How many treatments will I need?

Most clients need a minimum of 8 to 10 treatments for complete tattoo removal and 3 to 5 treatments for fading. Our Olney practice uses a variety of factors to determine best the number of treatments your unique tattoo will need. These factors include tattoo age, tattoo size, tattoo location, patient skin type, pre-existing scarring, ink density, ink depth, professional vs. amateur tattoo, and patient health.

How long is a laser tattoo removal treatment?

Laser tattoo removal is a speedy procedure, especially with a tattoo application. Depending on the tattoo’s size being treated, a single laser session can last a few seconds to 15 minutes. Larger tattoos like full arm, back, or chest pieces will be treated in sections.

When will I see the results?

Our Astanza Duality is designed to eliminate more ink with each session, speeding up the natural fading process and reducing the number of treatments needed compared to other lasers. That said, most clients will see significant fading within a few treatments. A 6-to 8-week waiting period is required to give your skin time to heal between each session. Clients can multiply that healing period with their estimated treatments to approximate when their desired look is achieved.
